I offer personal fitness training, nutrition and weightloss advice, Indian club swinging, TRX and kettlebell instruction for one to one private clients, couples and small groups, and also corporate and company clients. Training is available in clients own homes, places of work, local parks or in my own private fully equipped studio here in Pontefract.' Interests Unsurprisingly most of my interests are fitness related but I am currently concentrating on distance running; training and competing with Ackworth Road Runners. I now mainly run half or full marathon distance both here and abroad and have recently ran in the Limassol marathon, Cyprus and the Calvia marathon, Mallorca. I have quite a busy year of events coming up with next races being the Sahara marathon in February, Limassol again in March, Hull marathon in April and Luxembourg in May. I will also be running in the Dirndltal Extreme ultra marathon in Austri in July. I enjoy triathlon and will be competing in the Ironman 70.3 and London Triathlon this coming season as well as sprint and Olympic distance races in and around the region. Outside of sport and fitness I enjoy travel and walking, particularly in The Lakes with my dog Stan, but have also just returned from a trip trekking up Mount Toubkal in the Atlas mountains, Morocco.' | FEEDBACK - Frankie Parkinson. Ossett. 11th January 2010 - "Having trained with Liam for just over two months I can not reccomend him highly enough. He was great at motivating me and seemed to know what my limits were right from the start. After my first session I feared I may never walk again but I stuck with it and after session 3 I not only had the hang of it but enjoyed it so much that I decided to buy a kettlebell so that I could train on my own too.
Prior to training with Liam my exercise of choice was running which I thoroughly enjoyed but which didn't seem to give me enough muscle tone so I knew I needed more variety. I am not a fan of weight training as I find it repetitive and boring so thought I would give kettlebells a try.
After 4 weeks I could see a difference in the muscle tone particularly in my arms and stomach and now instead of running 4 times a week I run twice a week and do 2 kettlebell sessions. I can honestly say my body has never been more toned. The best thing about training with a kettlebell is that a good session only lasts half an hour but believe me you know you've done it!" |
