Are you interested in burning fat, toning or building muscle and increasing strength, stamina and general fitness? Then kettlebell training is for you!

Kettlebells come in a variety of sizes and can be used by men or women, young or old. You can do a wide range of exercises with kettlebells such as presses and curls but it is with the fast, ballistic exercises such as snatches, swings, cleans and jerks that kettlebell training really comes into its own.

Kettlebell training will develop incredible lean strength and muscular endurance and alongside a proper nutrition plan and diet, any excess fat you may have will simply melt away.... You will develop excellent core strength and a strong defined abdominal or stomach area. You will increase shoulder strength, stability and flexibility. For women that want to lose weight and tone up, kettlebell training will give you results that you could previously only dream of!

FAQ

Q: Is kettlebell training the ultimate way to train, does it replace normal gym training?

A: There is no one form of training that is the ultimate way to train, but the kettlebell is a truly incredible tool for shedding body fat and developing a lean, toned physique. Training with bells, and the results that kettlebell training produces is something that you cannot replicate, but it shouldn't replace regular gym or other forms of training. It should sit side by side with your other training along with, of course, a good diet. Kettlebells should be in addition to, not instead of.

Q: Are kettlebell exercises dangerous?

A: Any form of exercise can be dangerous when not performed correctly and the risk of injury with kettlebells is no higher than with any form of weight training. Unfortunately there will always be people who train dangerously, lifting too much weight with bad form or posture - and these people will undoubtedly end up hurting themselves.

To train effectively and safely with kettlebells you really need to spend a bit of time with a qualified kettlebell instructor. NOT just a personal trainer, but someone who specialises in, and is fully qualified in, kettlebell training. If you are in doubt, ask to see their Kettlebell Instructor qualification certificate. Any reputable instructor will be pleased to show you. It is too late to find out that your trainer was not qualified after you are already injured.

Q: Is kettlebell training effective for fat loss?

A: Absolutely! But not on its own - effective fat loss is 70% diet and only 30% exercise. Unfortunately there is no form of training that gives you a 'get out of jail free' card that allows you to then eat whatever you want, no matter how hard or often you train. As long as you have a clean and balanced diet though, kettlebell training will burn fat faster than any other type of exercise!

FEEDBACK - Carole Avery. Woolley. Wakefield. 4th February 2010 - "After seeing and reading about kettlebell training in magazines and on the television, my friend told me about Liam. With a history of heart disease in my family I already realised that I needed to improve my overall fitness and that motivation was a problem after 'falling out' with the gym and I decided that now was the time to really start training again. And I'm glad i did!

Training with Liam is ideal for me. He visits me at home, is always full of the positivity and encouragemnt that I need yet still keeps driving me forward by regularly monitoring, weighing and measuring my health and performance.

I will happily recommend Liam to my family and friends."

Q: Is Kettlebell training effective for building muscle?

A: Although, as with any form of free weight training, it is possible to build muscle with kettlebells the ballistic nature of kettlebell training means that it is better suited to those looking for a lean, defined and strong look. Its promotes overall fitness, stamina and endurance whilst also developing a very low body fat content.

Q: I want to get stronger without getting bigger. Is kettlebell training for me?

A: This is exactly what kettlebell training is for! It is the main reason why so many women love kettlebell training, as they can quickly burn fat and tone muscle without bulking up. It is also the reason why so many UFC fighters, martial artists and members of the armed forces are now training with kettlebells as they can get incredibly fast and strong without unnecessary muscle bulk.

Q: Do women use kettlebells?

A: I now train more women than men with kettlebells! Thanks to the likes of Kate Garaway from GMTV, TV's The Biggest Loser, Jennifer Aniston, Geri Halliwell and many others publicising their experience of training with kettlebells, kettlebell training is now becoming far more well known. There have now been articles in pretty much every magazine and newspaper and even on TV's This Morning singing the praises of kettlebells. Book you FREE First Session here!

FEEDBACK - Diane Watson. Wakefield. 1st Feburuary 2010 - "I first started training with Liam as I was worried about my fitness levels after an operation and wanted to lose a bit of weight. I also felt that my mobility and flexibilty needed improvement.
I found Liam through a Google search for Wakefield Personal Trainers and was impressed by the fact that he did home visits and was happy to come to me very early in the morning. We got on immediately, he was friendly and made me feel comfortable - all of which helps to make the actual training pass quicker!
I would have no hesitation in recommending Liam to my friends and family"
